Stainless steel gate valve is a gate valve made of stainless steel material (201.304.3016.3al.2205, etc.). Its external structure is no different from that of ordinary gate valves, with a slight difference in color. The natural color of stainless steel gate valves is bright, while ordinary gate valves are black and shiny. Therefore, it is easy to distinguish between stainless steel gate valves and ordinary gate valves from the appearance. Generally, the casting of gate valves will have corresponding material markings, so it is not difficult to distinguish.
Working principle of stainless steel gate valve:
The gate plate of a stainless steel gate valve moves in a straight line with the valve stem, which is called a rising stem gate valve (also known as a rising stem gate valve). Usually, there is a trapezoidal thread on the lifting rod, which converts rotary motion into linear motion through the nut at the top of the valve and the guide groove on the valve body, that is, turning operating torque into operating thrust. The sealing surface can be sealed solely by relying on the pressure of the medium, that is, by pressing the sealing surface of the gate towards the other side of the valve seat to ensure the sealing of the sealing surface, which is self sealing. Most stainless steel gate valves adopt forced sealing, which means that when the valve is closed, external force must be used to forcefully press the gate plate towards the valve seat to ensure the sealing surface is sealed.
Structural characteristics of stainless steel gate valves:
1. The selection of materials is meticulous, in accordance with relevant domestic and international standards, and the overall quality of the materials is high.
2. Meets the requirements of advanced domestic and international standards, with reliable sealing, excellent performance, and beautiful appearance.
3. The sealing pair is advanced and reasonable, and the sealing surfaces of the gate and valve seat are made of Stellite cobalt based hard alloy with different hardness by welding. The sealing is reliable, hard, wear-resistant, high-temperature resistant, corrosion-resistant, with good scratch resistance and long service life.
4. The valve stem has undergone quenching and surface nitriding treatment, which provides good corrosion resistance, scratch resistance, and wear resistance.
5. Adopting a wedge-shaped elastic gate structure, with thrust bearings installed on medium and large diameters, it has low friction and is equipped with an impact handwheel, making it easy to open and close.
