The flange compensation joint consists of a body, a gland, a sealing ring, and fasteners. It adopts the same sealing principle as the gland loose sleeve expansion joint. The connection method is flange connection at one end and socket connection at the other end, suitable for connecting valves and other equipment to pipelines. At the same time as connecting, it can compensate for the axial displacement and a certain amount of deflection and eccentricity of the pipeline, thereby protecting equipment such as valves. The socket is also suitable for connecting with steel pipes, cast iron pipes, ductile iron pipes, PAC pipes, ABS pipes, etc.
The flange compensation joint, also known as the flange loose sleeve compensation joint or the flange loose sleeve expansion joint, is installed on the pipeline. After tightening the nut elastic sealing ring, it relies on mutual inclination under the action of the nut cover to tightly press on the outer ring of the pipeline for sealing and connection. When the temperature changes, the pipe can freely expand and contract in the middle of the joint. When the foundation sinks, the pipe can tilt and ensure that there is no leakage in the seal, thus achieving the purpose of automatic compensation.
