Installation direction and precautions for Y-shaped filters
A Y-shaped filter is a filtering device used in pipeline systems for conveying media,Y-shaped filters are usually installed at the inlet of pressure reducing valves,relief valves,constant water level valves,or other equipment to remove impurities from the medium and protect the normal use of valves and equipment.Filters are suitable for liquid and gas materials in chemical,petrochemical,light industry and other production processes,used to filter their solid impurities.
The Y-shaped filter has the characteristics of advanced structure,low resistance,and convenient discharge,and is suitable for media such as water,oil,and gas.The general water supply network is 18-30 mesh,the ventilation network is 10-100 mesh,and the oil supply network is 100-480 mesh.The basket filter mainly consists of a connecting pipe,a main pipe,a filter blue,a flange,a flange cover,and fasteners.When the liquid enters the filter blue through the main pipe,solid impurity particles are blocked inside the filter blue,and clean fluid is discharged through the filter blue and through the outlet of the filter.What are the requirements for installing a Y-shaped filter?
Installation direction of Y-shaped filter
The installation direction of the Y-shaped filter is slightly different when using steam,gas,or liquid:
1.Steam or gas pipeline:the filter screen faces horizontally;
2.Liquid pipeline:Install the filter screen facing downwards;
3.Vertical installation:According to the installation direction of the filter.
Installation precautions for Y-shaped filters
1 The installation of Y-shaped filters should be carried out according to the flow direction,recommended installation methods,installation requirements,etc.shown in the product samples and installation instructions provided by the manufacturer.
2 Differential pressure gauges or pressure gauges can be set up upstream and downstream of Y-shaped filters according to the needs of process production to determine blockage,and backflow cleaning pipelines should be configured according to process requirements.
3.When piping,consideration should be given to the convenience of long-term or temporary installation and removal of Y-shaped filters.
4.Requirements for pipeline design for Y-shaped filters in pipelines.
5.The pipeline equipped with a Y-shaped filter can be divided into intermittent operation and continuous operation during operation.
6.When operating intermittently,set a shut-off valve before and after the Y-shaped filter to clean it.
7.When operating continuously,two sets of Y-shaped filters need to be set in parallel for the Y-shaped filter,and cut-off valves should be installed before and after the Y-shaped filter(except for line gap filters).
